Classes
begin the week of Sept. 14, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. |
Registered
apprentices with a valid state apprentice I.D. card listing their current
employer must pay $100 per course for courses in their current State
Apprentice Program (Tuition may be subject to change).
Apprentices taking courses out of their program and all non-apprentices
must pay a tuition fee of $275 per course. All students pay a single
non refundable $25 registration fee AT REGISTRATION per
School attended per semester. Tuition must be paid the FIRST
CLASS night.

NO PERSONAL CHECKS, CREDIT CARDS OR CASH ALLOWED.

Non-Refundable $25.00 Registration Fee for all courses.
Grade of 75% is now required to receive credit.
***APPRENTICES TAKING CODE COURSES MUST PURCHASE CODE BOOK.
Evening school classes meet on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
evening, depending on the class and enrollment. Classes meet one night
per week for 12 weeks. All courses are 36 hours in length. |
All apprenticeship classes
must have a minimum of 10 paying students to be held. |

| Introduction
to Computers |
This class is intended
for individuals who are new to computing or want to brush up on their
basic skills. Participants will be introduced to basic computer terminology
and concepts, and they will be given a general introduction to how computers
work. Common types of hardware and software will be discussed, and participants
will learn how to perform basic tasks in Windows such as word processing,
graphic manipulation, and surfing the Web.
Participants will:
- gain a basic understanding of computer components
- work with windows, toolbars, and command menus
- perform basic word processing and graphic tasks
- explore Web browsing basics
- backup files
- save, copy, and organize your work
