CTHSS Eco-Houses to be Featured on CPTV
The Eco-House Projects which began
this school year at several CT Tech High Schools will be featured on Connecticut
Public Television in June. The model being built at Goodwin Technical High
School in New Britain, Connecticut will be part of a series on Green
Technology.

Norwich Technical High School earned the Grand Prize from Bob's
High School Heroes for the 2010- 2011 school year for the highest percentage
of participation. This is the second year in a row that Norwich Tech has
won a part of this competition.

Prince Tech Establishes Unique
Partnership with UCONN School for Engineering and the Connecticut Science
Center
Since 1999, the National
Science Foundation (NSF) has been awarding the GK-12 (Graduate STEM Fellows
in K-12 Education) grants to universities across the nation. In 2010, With this award the UCONN School of Engineering began a
partnership with eight technical high schools including Prince Technical High
School in Hartford. Through the GK-12 program, UCONN graduate students
are able to present science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM),
to classrooms through hands-on and exciting activities. See More Details.
Homeless Awareness Poster Finalists
Announced
In June, the two finalists in the first Homeless Awareness
Poster Contest were announced. With over 160 entries, the coordinators were
very impressed with the participation by students in the competition.
