Class of 2010 students in the Computer Aided Drafting and Design department were assigned a project to recreate a camp chair by Mr. Granja. The project was a joint effort Mr. Leduc’s Physics class who are studying forces. The students drew the chair as a 3D solid model in the Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) system. Once drawn up they were able to create a scaled down version of the chair on their 3D printer.

Carpentry Department Head Mr. Cyr has agreed to create the camp chair from the prints in the Carpentry department. Another example of Tech students and staff working together on a cooperative project.
