The purpose of the Work Based Learning (WBL) Program is to expand and enhance the student’s learning through career experiences which are aligned with the student’s course of study and are designed to facilitate the student’s transition from school to career. The program is available to qualified students in each of the trade/technologies who have demonstrated readiness to benefit from placement in the program.

We would like to congratulate these students for their accomplishments. We would also like to thank the local companies for their community support.

The objectives of the Work Based Learning Program are to:

1. Expand and enhance each student’s learning through carefully planned, unique career experiences in an actual work setting.

2. Help the student make the transition from school to career.

3. Teach the student about the environment of work.

4. Increase the student’s awareness of and appreciation for the relevance of academic subjects as they apply to his or her occupational choice.

5. Provide the student with opportunities for potential career placement in his or her occupational choice.

6. Project a positive image for students through involvement in business and industry
