Admission
Requirements for Acceptance
to the LPN Program |
- Fill
out the LPN Program Application for Admission and
send along with your resume and
a non-refundable application fee of $50.00, made
payable (by certified or bank check only) to: Treasurer,
State of Connecticut. Send
it to Abbott Technical School. All must be received by by November
14, 2008 .
- Sign
up and take the Nursing Entrance Test (NET) before October
21, 2008.*

You may submit an official record of your TEAS Test Scores.(These
are only for students who previously applied to a Registered Nurse
Program).
* If you
have taken the NET or TEAS within the past 12 months, you may use
these scores for admission. Call ERI and request that the scores
be sent to Abbott Technical High School's LPN Program.
- If
you have completed MATH137 with a C or better and ENG101 with
a C+ or better, you will need to submit an official transcript
showing that these courses have successfully been completed.
Submit an official high school transcript or a copy of a GED.
Copies of Diplomas will be accepted. All transcripts must be
received by November 14, 2008.
- MUST
BE COMPLETED BEFORE THE FINAL SEMESTER

Math
137: Intermediate Algebra
Introduction
to Psychology
These courses may be taken at any of the
Connecticut Community Colleges, Charter Oak College, State
Universities or other online Universities.
NOTE:
Applicants who have completed or signed up for the college courses
MATH137 and ENG101, will receive additional consideration for
admission.
- Students
who have submitted a completed application, a $50
application fee, resume, and have completed either the NET or
TEAS test will be notified in December of their acceptance
into the LPN Program.
- If you have
completed Human Biology (4 credit course) within the last 3
years with a grade of C or higher, submit an official transcript
before November 4, 2009. If you have
completed Introduction to Psychology or Developmental Psychology
with a grade of C or higher (no time limit), submit an official
transcript by November 14, 2008.
Prior
to graduation from the LPN program the following college courses
must be completed:
- Introduction
to Psychology (with a grade of C or better)
- Intermediate
Algebra (with
a grade of C or better)
- English
Composition (with
a grade of C+ or better)
