CTECS School Meals Program prides itself on serving nutritious breakfasts and lunches to students in a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. Our School Meals team is eager to prepare and offer a varied selection of breakfast and lunch meals that are both healthy and well-balanced, providing students with the nutrition they need to succeed in the classroom.
All meals are planned in compliance with the standards established by the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. Menus support, promote and reinforce the USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans, encouraging increased consumption of nutrient dense foods and beverages such as fresh fruits, colorful vegetables, whole grains and low fat dairy products, while limiting levels of saturated and trans fats, sodium and added sugars.
FREE AND REDUCED PRICED MEALS
Free and reduced-price breakfasts and lunches are available to families that qualify. The following CTECS schools participate in the Community Eligibility Provision program, which provides all meals to all students at no charge. Students at these schools do NOT complete any meal applications this year: Bullard-Havens, Goodwin, Grasso, Kaynor, Prince, Whitney, and Wright.
Families may apply for free or reduced price meals at any time during the school year. The online application, instructions and additional information can be accessed at the links below. We strongly encourage you to apply online to quicken the approval process.
