State
Police Crime Squad Give Presentation to Prince Tech Forensics
Students

On March
19th Forensics students met with Detective Guida, Detective Mellekas
and an intern from the CT State Police Major Crime Squad. The
purpose of their visit was to show the students the parallels between
what they are learning in class and what techniques are currently
being used in the real world.
The presentation was interactive - with the presenters
often asking the near-eighty students to explain what they could
determine from photographs ranging from burned-out cars and dusty
footprints to blood spattered walls and dead victims.
The students
were impressed with the presentation as well as themselves: "I
didn't realize how much I actually learned about Forensics in class
until this presentation." and, "Those guys made me want
to join the State Police." were a couple of comments overheard
as the students exited the cafeteria. The staff of Prince Tech
would like to thank the State Police Major Crime Squad for offering
this presentation to our students. |
