Alexander is UCONN Bound |

Senior Matt Alexander
who is one of the best high school pole vaulters in the Northeast
finished second in the Eastern States Invitational which was
held at the New York City Armory last week.
Matt cleared 15’0” and just missed his chance for 1st place missing
his personal best jump of 15’6”. Matt who was also a All-State soccer
player, has decided to continue jumping at the University of Connecticut this
coming Fall. In mid-March, Matt will be competing in the National Scholastic
Championships at the New York Armory.
Matt’s coach, Rich Zadroga believes that Matt has the ability to become
an elite jumper at the Division I level and is excited to see how he improves
this Spring. “With four months left in his career it will be very interesting
to see how far Matt’s potential will develop.” |
