Windham
Tech’s Mosaic group sponsored the first ever Guitar
Hero competition to raise money for Windham Wellness
Inc. a non-profit group whose mission is to assist area
teens in making better choices for their future. On Friday
March 13th, 24 students gathered to compete in three different
levels of the Xbox 360 Guitar Hero 3 game. An additional
20 plus students came to watch. Competitors signed up for
the level they felt most comfortable in. We had four students
in the medium level, nine in the hard level and eleven in
the expert division. Students competed against each other
in the best out of three songs, with the finally being the
best out of 5. Senior Kyle Aceto won the medium division,
while freshmen Tyler Levens won the hard division. Senior
Aaron Caminatti won the expert division defeating junior
Tyler Bryant.
A
silent auction and bake sale were also held during the event.
Mosaic raised $360 for Windham Wellness Inc. Provided the
game is still as popular this is definitely an event we will
look to repeat next year.
