The WTHS Mosaic team participated in the low ropes course at Goodwin State Park on October 20th. This event in sponsored by the EastConn Mosaic grant funded by the Department of Education. For many WTHS students this was the 4th time participating in the low ropes challenge course. This year they were able to share the experience with students from Manchester High School. Students were able to work together in groups to problem solve difficult physical and intellectual obstacles. Windham tech students felt the best part of the experience was getting to know the students from Manchester high School as many of them came from different countries and have only been in this country for a few years or less. They met students from Pakistan, Brazil, and Honduras in addition to other countries. “This was the best ropes course yet”, said senior Frances Diaz who has been with Mosaic since it started her freshmen year. Mosaic student hope to work with Manchester High students on future endeavors.
