Program Description

The Hospitality and Tourism classroom combines online learning along with real-life experiences that introduce high school students to the variety of opportunities available in the industry. Virtual Hospitality Business students will experience total visual computer simulations that make it fun to learn key business, marketing, and personal financial concepts including marketing, management, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, hospitality, and more. The educational goal is to prepare students to enter the workforce or continue on to a post-secondary hospitality and tourism management program.

Students enrolled in the CTECS Hospitality and Tourism program will advance with ServSafe Certification and a Certified Hospitality & Tourism Management Professional (CHTMP) designation from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute.

Through existing articulation agreements with area Community Colleges as well as Johnson & Whales University (RI), students will receive college credits upon graduation.
