CTECS offers a wide variety of athletic programs throughout its’ 17 high schools. The sports offered range from basketball and softball to football and cheerleading. Student athletes are taught to work well with others and show sportsmanship on and off the field. Offering athletics is just another way we create responsible students and prepare them for the workforce.

The Connecticut Technical Conference (CTC) was formed in 2017 with the concept of supporting and promoting the athletic programs offered at the Connecticut Technical High Schools. The CTC works hard to bring you up-to-date stats, standings and news from CTECS’ athletic progams.

Last Wednesday the CTC Golf Championships was held at Tallwood CC in Hebron. Ellis Tech (Charter Oak Division Champion) defeated Wilcox Tech (Nutmeg Division Champion) by a score of 344-373 to take the team championship. The other schools contributed their two best golfers to compete in the Two-Person Best Ball competition. That championship was won by the Norwich Tech duo of Jack Gahrman and Derek Cobb, who combined to shoot a round of 74 to take those honors. Individual Medalist honors also went to Norwich Tech golfer Jack Gahrman, with the low round of the day, shooting a 74. Below is the list of players that were named to the CTC All-Conference team. The team is comprised of the top 5 finishers at the tournament and the players with the next 5 lowest differentials (averages) for the regular season. Congrats to all teams, players, and coaches on a great season!
