CTECS Board Judges Inaugural Superintendent’s Challenge
May 22, 2019
During the May meeting of the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System Board, members of the Board and district administration judged submissions to the inaugural Superintendent’s Challenge. The Superintendent’s Challenge is an annual competition between schools to showcase students’ abilities in their trade. This year, the selected trade was carpentry and their challenge was to create a unique clock. In addition to carpentry, some schools solicited the assistance of other trade areas, such as collision repair and precision machining. There were 10 submissions to this year’s challenge; four received recognition by the Board.
