CTECS Executive Director Announces Retirement

The Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS) announces the upcoming retirement of Executive Director Dr. Ellen Solek, effective December 2024.

Reflecting on her tenure, Dr. Solek shared, “It has been an absolute joy and privilege to serve as the leader of this incredible school system. I have been inspired by the passion, dedication, and hard work of CTECS staff, whose unwavering commitment has shaped countless students’ futures and built invaluable partnerships with industries statewide. I am deeply proud to have been part of such an outstanding team.”

As CTECS moves forward, Dr. Solek remains confident in the agency’s continued success, thanks to the collective efforts of its team.

She expressed her appreciation to CTECS staff, stating, “The work you have accomplished has made a lasting impact, establishing CTECS as a true agency of excellence.”
