Student Renovation at Historical Site Contributes to Community
It took two years of construction, three technical high schools and four trade areas to renovate the “Michelle House”, a first-of-its kind resource center for Connecticut residents afflicted with sickle cell anemia. The Michelle House, named after former First Lady Michelle Obama, plans to open in New Haven in early 2019.
E.C. Goodwin Tech Earns Computer Science Female Diversity Award
E.C. Goodwin Technical High School, part of the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System, has earned the first College Board AP® Computer Science Female Diversity Award for achieving high female representation in AP Computer Science Principles. Schools honored with the AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award have expanded girls’ access in AP Computer Science courses.
Platt Tech Student Invited to NASA to Present Software Design
Platt Technical High School junior Ethan Feldman, an Information Systems Technology student, has been invited as a finalist to present at the NASA HUNCH Final Design Review program in Houston, Texas on April 16, 2019.
