Prince Tech Announces 10th Annual “Outstanding Young Women of Prince”
May 16, 2016
A.I. Prince Technical High School announced and recognized the contributions of its female leaders during its 10th Annual “Outstanding Young Women of Prince” recognition ceremony in Hartford recently.
Established in 2007, the Outstanding Young Women’s program recognizes students who embody qualities that often go unheralded such as character, respect, compassion, service, integrity, and scholarship.
Each year, Prince teachers and staff nominate young women who represent the best at Prince, and who contribute to a positive learning community by exemplifying Prince’s Core Values. The candidates are then voted on to determine the top five students in grades 10 – 12.
The 2016 Prince Outstanding Young Women are:
- Sophomores: Dara Alicea Nieves, Abigail Maldonado, Destiny Ortiz, Reva Diaz and Tanayesia White
- Juniors: Hamerly Felipe, Rasha Mohamed, Melanie Perez, Aleeta Rampertab and Tanysha Young
- Seniors: Karielys Colon, Jashane Campbell, Breanna Diaz, Nastassja Harris and Sheylla Morales
