Program Description
Students enrolled in CTECS Aerospace Component Manufacturing program are given the latest in Industry 4.0 training while learning traditional machining skills. Students will begin to study and use manual machining skills in conjunction with computer numerical control programming, Rapid Prototyping and 3D plastic / metal printing. Students will learn 3D modeling software and Mastercam computer-aided manufacturing, Robot and Cobot programming, and Computerized Measuring Machine operation and programming.
Students receive 1,500 hours towards a metal trade apprenticeship upon graduation.
Students are eligible to participate in Work-Based Learning (WBL) in grades 11 & 12. This program allows companies to hire students during the school day to work on the manufacturing floor. Students will get credit for their work experience and it is an important pipeline for getting our students into industry.
