Whitney Tech Hosts Car Seat Safety Checks and Distribution

In collaboration with Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital and Toyota, Eli Whitney Technical High School helped provide parents and guardians the necessary tools to ensure their children ride in cars safely. On Friday, April 29, 2016, the school hosted a free car seat safety check and distribution event.

The two-session event was held at Eli Whitney’s Tech Garage, with both including a 45 minute presentation that was mandatory in order for attendees to receive a free car seat. Attendees were able to forego the presentation if they only wished to have their existing car seats checked for proper safety and installation.
