Work-Based Learning: On the Job with Dulin Collision Center
March 12, 2024
On CTECS’ latest WBL: On the Job we follow Platt Tech student, Michael Curley, a senior in the Auto Collision Repair and Refinishing shop at Platt Tech. Michael works at Dulin Collision Center in Milford, CT both during his shop cycle and after school.
Dulin Collision Center is home to many Platt Tech alumni along with the current work-based learning participant. Gary Dulin, owner of Dulin Collision Center, explains how imperative CTECS’ work-based learning program is to his business, “the goal for work-based learning for my business here is to retain each student… because now you have kind of a custom employee, if you will, that fits your needs.”
Business owners are not the only ones who benefit from work-based learning, Michael Curley explains, “if you surround yourself with successful people and a successful business… it’ll better yourself.”
